Applications are invited for the fixed-term (maternity cover) post of Deputy Faculty Manager (Teaching and Facilities), a role based in the University's Unified Administrative Service and assigned to the Faculty of History. 

The Role

The role holder will be responsible for the administrative processes underpinning the delivery and examining of the Faculty's undergraduate teaching programmes, and will have an oversight of facilities work and resource issues relating to teaching. This is a pivotal role within a large and vibrant Faculty, providing leadership and guidance in matters of policy, strategy, change and planning. The role holder will contribute to the development of the Faculty of History, support key committees, and line manage a team professional services staff dedicated to undergraduate student administration and facilities management.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, possess excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload. The ability to implement change, understand, interpret, manage and design administrative processes, together with previous experience in a senior administrative role is required. The ability to work as part of a team, providing clear leadership, plus excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) are also essential attributes for this role.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 15 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
