Applications are invited for an exciting opportunity for a Data Analyst to support the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences Strategic Change Programme.
The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS) Strategic Change Programme is a newly formed strategic programme at the University of Nottingham, comprising a suite of projects and workstreams spanning physical and digital infrastructure, people and culture, student experience and research performance, focussed on the delivery of improvements in student outcomes and satisfaction, research outputs, and staff engagement, enabling the delivery of the vision and ambition of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences for the next 30 years.
Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the purpose of this key role is to provide reports, data, analyses, modelling and management information to; inform decision making, develop strategies and action plans; support business cases; monitor progress against key performance indicators. Data may cover the full range of Faculty activities including: education and student experience; research and knowledge exchange; people-related data including equality, diversity and inclusion; operational matters and timetabling.
The role offers the successful applicant the opportunity to be an integral part of a growing and busy team. You will be liaising with people across the University.
We are looking for an individual who is qualified to Honours degree in a relevant subject or has broad, relevant, substantial experience demonstrating development through involvement in a series of progressively more demanding roles.
The successful candidate will have excellent skills in data extraction and manipulation from a range of systems and the ability to analyse, report on and present a variety of data in a format appropriate to the intended audience. Excellent team working and ability to work on your own initiative, as well as good communication skills are also essential. Experience of working in a recent, substantive experience in a relevant role is required.
This is a fixed term opportunity available until 31/07/2026. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may also be considered.
Requests for secondment from internal candidates may be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.
We look forward to receiving your application!
