The Opportunity

The post holder will be working both as an integral part of the Cybersecurity team within Information & Digital Services and as liaison across university departments assisting in investigations and engagement where necessary. This is a key role to the successful provision of the university’s cybersecurity posture taking an active position in monitoring for cybersecurity events, triaging business as usual events and project work to maintain and advance the Information & Digital Services strategic plan. 

You will have experience in problem solving with an IT background and a willingness to learn new skills and technology. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to issues arising and a considered approach to working under potentially pressured timeframes and events will be an advantage.

An ability to manage your own work is essential due to size of the team.

You will have some experience of IT monitoring systems and a general proficiency in server infrastructure, networking, cloud administration and operating systems.
