Course Leader / Senior Tutor in Business

The position of Course Leader / Senior Tutor in Business is a unique opportunity to be part of the ground breaking development of Teesside University London. TU London will provide our students with the support they need to be employable and future-focused.

We are currently looking to recruit academic professionals with the skills and ability to inspire our business students with your expertise in one or more of the following areas:

What we are looking for
Enthusiastic academic professionals to contribute to teaching, assessment, curriculum design in Business disciplines at TU London. You will apply creativity, innovation and subject expertise to the delivery of an outstanding student learning experience.

Your responsibilities will include: the leadership and delivery of innovative, engaging and effective teaching; pastoral support: supervision of projects; and, contribution to professional development and business engagement. You will engage in management activities such as people management, programme and module leadership, produce appropriate documentation and collaborate with colleagues to disseminate best practice.  

You will have knowledge and experience in the design and delivery of effective teaching and assessment at undergraduate and postgraduate level using a variety of approaches. You will be qualified to masters level or hold extensive professional expertise / advanced practitioner status.  A PhD in a relevant discipline is desirable. The ability and expertise to both lead and teach a range of Business subjects, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders is essential.

Your skills and expertise will include: leading and managing academic colleagues; exceptional communication and IT skills to produce effective materials and engage our students;  demonstrable ability to exercise initiative, creativity and judgement in applying appropriate approaches to teaching and learning, research and scholarly activities; and, the capability to support student retention through caring for our students’ pastoral needs.
