About the Role

This role of Contract Officer supports the Bids and Contracts Manager in the management of all contracts and sub-contracts (internal and external).  A key element of the role will involve issuing and the collation of apprenticeship paperwork in order for the Group to be compliant with funding rules.

Key duties of the position include;

  • Compliance checking paperwork and generate contractual paperwork that is accurate and in accordance with government funding rules;
  • Liaise with employers and learners to ensure contractual paperwork is in place in a timely and efficient manner which will include telephone calls and visits to employer sites;
  • To provide timely and accurate reporting on all contracts and sub-contracts and monitor learner progress through the college’s Management Information System;
  • Day to day management of a portfolio of Subcontractors delivering devolved and non-devolved funding.
  • Work with other departments within the Group to ensure any issues, risks and/or actions are followed up and closed out in a timely manner;

The role will include a significant amount of data management and tracking learners/employers. Attention to detail, the ability to manipulate and understand complex data, flexibility and a proactive approach will be required and applications from individuals who wish to work in a challenging but rewarding environment are welcomed.

You will…

You should have previous experience working in an administrative position and with complex data and systems. You may also have experience within compliance/audit, ideally of education funding rules.

You will hold a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths (or be willing to undertake).

Department Info

This role is key to ensuring that the RNN Group provides an effective and efficient contracting service under the direction of the Bids and Contracts Manager and key to this is communication with other areas in such a large organisation. 

This role will be the key link between the Contracts Team and other areas such as curriculum, finance, quality etc. The Contracts Officer will directly support the Bids and Contracts Manager in executing a first-class business support service.
