About the role

We are seeking a highly organised, motivated, enthusiastic person to join the team to widen and strengthen our public participation programme. The successful candidate will work closely with the Centre for Ethnic Health Research to assist in planning and organising community-based events and research.

The aim of the Centre for Ethnic Health Research is to Reduce Ethnic Health Inequalities.  We do this by working with patients, the public, community and voluntary sectors, faith centre organisers and members, researchers, health and social care organisations, locally and nationally, to: 

  • Inspire community led research
  • Develop and promote culturally sensitive resources
  • Raise awareness of community engagement
  • Encourage active research participation
  • Collaborate with researcher to widen participation
  • Increase capacity and capability in the research environment through training delivery

About you

It is essential that the successful candidate will have previous experience and established connections with community and/or faith organisations with an understanding of equality and diversity practices. As the ideal candidate, you will have high level administration and organisation skills and be able to multi-task whilst maintaining attention to detail. You will understand the need for confidentiality and be confident in building relationships both internally and externally.

This is a Hybrid role and on-site working will typically only be required a few times a month. Though this may change with business need.
