Do you have experience in communications, particularly in production of digital content for websites and social media? We are seeking a Communications and Digital Content Officer to join the University of Oxford’s Department of Engineering Science on a permanent basis.

The Communications & Digital Content Officer primarily supports the communications initiatives of the Department of Engineering Science, and is responsible for helping to create and coordinate digital content for the department’s website, social media, events, and Outreach activities, as well as creating other marketing materials as required (both digital and print). 

Working closely with departmental staff, the roleholder will also implement key communications activities across the department, identifying and promoting appropriate messages and themes. 

The successful candidate will be expected to proactively explore new ways of achieving communications objectives through up-and coming technologies, platforms and media. 

You should be educated to at least A-Level standard with communications experience, particularly in  production and editing of digital and audiovisual content, eg videos, reels and podcasts. Strong written communication skills, a creative approach to problem solving and the ability to work effectively as part of a team will also be required.
