This is a new and exciting opportunity for a creative and proactive individual to support and enhance the communications strategies at Queens’ College.
Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Communications Assistant will contribute to elevating the student experience, promoting academic research excellence, and upholding the College’s commitment to inclusion, diversity, community, and wellbeing through engaging communications campaigns.
This role will have a primary focus on digital content management, with responsibility for the College social media channels, strategic content creation for news and events, and leveraging analytics to optimise platform engagement. Additional responsibilities include internal communication support, website management, the production of multimedia content and general administrative and routine tasks to support the Communications office.
The post holder will directly support the Head of Communications to promote the College’s external and internal communications strategies, whilst also providing support to other departments and Fellows of the College to actively develop communications engagement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, proficiency in content creation, and a strategic approach to communication channels.
Part time applications would be considered.
Experience in a higher education setting would be desirable.
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience in social media management, content creation or digital marketing
- Proficiency in graphic design tools and visual content development/editing
- An approachable, creative, and proactive attitude with a self-motivated mindset
- Excellent inter-personal and communication skills
Remuneration and Benefits:
- Salary: £26,356.47 - £32,192.27 per annum (depending on qualifications and experience)
- Hours of work: 36.5 hours per week, usually Monday to Friday
- Final Salary Pension Scheme after the qualifying period
- 26 days’ holiday, in addition to public holidays (34 in total)
