About Us

The Institute of Health Sciences Education (IHSE) is one of six institutes that forms the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry (FMD). IHSE are responsible for the delivery of the faculty’s medical degree programmes. The 5-year MBBS and 4-year Graduate Entry Programme MBBS (London) run by IHSE delivers an excellent student experience and consistently ranks among the best in London and across the UK.

To support delivery of an innovative early years curriculum, there is a purpose built clinical and professional skills centre, and dedicated teaching room equipped with anatomical specimens, videos and specialized computer imaging to build foundational medical knowledge across our different campuses. 

About The Role

As Head of Year 4 MBBS, you will be provided with the opportunity to take full accountability and ownership of the education delivery within IHSE, and in partnership with our NHS partners, lead on all aspects of Year 4 teaching across MBBS. Year 4 MBBS is critical in the transition across the later years curriculum therefore this role is crucial in shaping the agenda for our students and positioning QMUL as the best place for delivering medical and healthcare professions education in London, and the UK
