We are now looking for a Clinical Lead Optometrist to join us here at the University of Plymouth to not only enhance our optometry offering as a clinic and team, but also nurture the talent of our brilliant optometry students within the Centre for Eyecare Excellence (CEE).

What will you do?

The role would be a mixture of clinical decision-making, teaching and professional development and is an excellent opportunity to support the clinical research conducted by the Plymouth team.

Alongside the clinical work, you will also deliver on the education and teaching initiatives of the CEE with our incredible students.

Who are you?

  • A current, experienced, GOC registered Optometrist
  • Have experience in mentoring or management of junior members or students.
  • An individual who is passionate about your professions and is looking to inspire and mentor the next generation of Optometrists.

This role will require an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check plus a Children’s Barred List and Adults Barred List check.

Interviews are axpected to take place Wednesday 12 June and you will be notified if you have been shortlisted or not.

This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week on a permanent basis.
