Overview of the Role

Would you like to play a pivotal role supporting the delivery of high quality clinical academic training? Do you have the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders? Are you a decisive problem solver, able to contribute to a variety of tasks from operational and event planning to strategic thinking?

As a member of the Clinical Academic Training programme team at Leeds you will provide efficient project management for key programmes within the clinical academic portfolio. You will have a central role in developing and implementing processes which underpin the successful delivery of our INSIGHT and INSPIRE programmes. You will act as a key link for the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Integrated Academic Training (IAT), NIHR Integrated Clinical Academic (ICA) and Specialised Foundation (SFP) programmes at The University of Leeds, liaising with internal and external stakeholders including NHS England North East & Yorkshire, regional NHS Hospital Trusts and Partnerships, and regional Higher Education Institutional partners.

Your role will be to support our clinical academic health and care professionals to enhance their engagement with academic training programmes at Leeds. Through your knowledge and experience of healthcare and/or academic research and funder environments you will have a proactive focus with the ability to work across several projects efficiently and professionally. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to initiate, build and manage stakeholder networks, establishing effective working relationships to deliver project outputs to agreed deadlines.

Reporting into the Faculty Clinical Academic Training Lead and ultimately to the Faculty Operations Director, you will work closely with the Faculty Pro-Dean for Research and Innovation and the INSIGHT Academic Lead/Principal Investigator to ensure the successful day-to-day management of the programmes.

This role will be based primarily at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds and also requires working at the Worsley Building on the University main campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements.
