The Role

Gonville & Caius College is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join its Dining Services team as Catering Supervisor. The Catering Supervisor’s purpose is to promote and run an efficient, professional front of house catering service to members of College, external and conference customers.

As a supervisor, you will oversee a dedicated, organised team of permanent and casual members of staff. You will work as part of a team in the organisation and delivery of quality service, and support the running of daily business which includes student dining, College feasts and conference dinners. You will have experience of providing excellent customer service as a waiter (or at supervisor level), attention to detail and the ability to provide all types of services in a friendly and welcoming manner. Gonville & Caius College prides itself on the reputation it has gained for its excellent food, bar and service standards.

This is a permanent, full-time contract. The hours of work are 40 hours per week. The annual salary is £25,935.

Gonville & Caius College is one of the largest colleges in the University of Cambridge. It is an educational charity, and its mission is to provide a place of education, religion, learning and research, in conjunction with the University that is recognised internationally as being of the highest standard.

The College is an academic community comprising some 530 undergraduate students, 250 graduate students, and 110 Fellows (lecturers, professors and other senior academic researchers and teachers) and almost 200 staff. It plays a significant role throughout the University.
