About The Role
Falmouth Exeter Plus are seeking to recruit two casual Caretakers to provide a high quality caretaking service on our Falmouth and Penryn campuses. The caretaking department is responsible for a variety of duties to ensure that the campus buildings and surrounding areas are maintained to a high standard. These duties include waste and recycling management, porterage duties and daily cleaning tasks.
The successful applicants will ensure that the allocated duties are completed within deadlines and to an expected standard in line with service and Health and Safety requirements. It is a varied role across both campuses and represents a great opportunity to join a close knit team. About You
We are looking for candidates who have experience in dealing with waste management and general porter/caretaking duties, as well as excellent customer service and communication skills. Alongside these key skills we are looking for candidates who have a flexible approach to working hours and a good level of general fitness.
We would like to hear from candidates who can also offer the following:
- Working knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and regulations e.g. COSHH
- Demonstrate a practical approach to problem solving
- Ability to prioritise work towards deadline
- Work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Full clean driving licence as the post holders will be required to drive a company vehicle to fulfil the duties of this role

These posts are offered on a casual contract of up to 37.5 hours per week, working 5 days out of 7 which may include working weekends on occasion.
One role will be based at the Penryn campus and one will be based at the Falmouth campus. Please state which role you are applying for in the personal statement section of your application.
