A vacancy exists at the University of Wolverhampton for an enthusiastic person to join Facilities and Support Services in the role of Caretaker.

You must be physically capable of using relevant equipment, a good communicator and capable of completing basic forms and documents.  You will be required to work across a number of campus locations.  You should be flexible in approach and display good customer skills and have the ability to use your initiative and be able to work positively within a team.

To operate as a member of a Team of Caretakers to carry out the day to day duties required to promote the professional, customer focused support service across the University estate.

To assist the Operations Coordinator/Shift Supervisor to provide an efficient and effective support service for all students, staff and visitors covering cleaning, portering, minor repairs and security in accordance with Service Level standards and University policy and procedures. 

You will be working as a A3 shift caretaker on a working pattern of 3 mornings/3 afternoons and 3 days off over an annual average week of 37hrs.

The minimum annual leave entitlement starts at 38 days inclusive of the 8 standard UK bank holidays . In addition to bank holidays, extra concessionary days are also provided each year (a minimum of four) for the extended University closure around some UK public holidays.
