About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious postgraduate with a background in cancer immunology related field to gain industry experience and fast-track their career development as a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Associate.
Although employed by the University of Leicester, you will be primarily based at Isogenica in Chesterford Research Park near Cambridge with a pivotal role in driving this unique academic and Industrial collaboration. You will be splitting your time between the University of Leicester, where you will be exposed to cutting-edge preclinical research and KOLs in the immuno-oncology field, and Isogenica where you will be part of the process of drug discovery and development as well as commercial aspects involved in the development of new immunotherapies.
You will lead the pre-clinical validation of new single domain-based VHH antibodies aimed at improving outcomes with cancer immunotherapy and generate a novel platform for pre-clinical drug testing. As part of this partnership, you will develop leadership and project management skills, market analysis and commercialisation strategies.
About you
You will hold a PhD in either cancer, immunology or a related field (or equivalent professional qualification) and have extensive laboratory skills and expertise within Biology/Biochemistry. The candidate should have expertise in using pre-clinical models and in relevant approaches and analytical techniques. We are looking for an individual with project management or leadership experience, someone who is familiar with landscape of immunotherapies and patent analysis.
