Salary: Grade 7 (£37,099 - £44,263 p.a. depending on experience)

As a Business Support Manager, you will lead a team of administrative professionals and implement efficient approaches and process required to support OD&PL’s various specialist development areas. You will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating administrative operations across the department to ensure the smooth delivery of OD&PL’s purpose. It will require working collaboratively with the management team as you will play a crucial role in the effective and efficient running of our service. You will act as the focal administration point of OD&PL, liaising closely with other areas within the People & Culture, IT and the Facilities Directorates to ensure we comply with legislative and University policies and procedures.

Experienced in the development and maintenance of complex administrative processes and systems, you will also have excellent data and information handling skills; the ability to manage and implement change, and prioritise your, and your team’s diverse and fast-paced workload. You will be able to initiate, build and manage networks, establish effective working relationships, liaise with internal and external stakeholders, and engage with a wide-range of people diplomatically and in confidence.   

This exciting position will suit a pro-active and adaptable individual with significant experience in business support/office management, addressing change, and an analytical aptitude and ability to plan and forecast resources effectively to help the Department achieve high levels of performance. You will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, and a high-level of attention to detail. You will have substantial experience leading and developing a team, and be comfortable working collaboratively as part of a cross-functional management team.
