This is an outstanding opportunity to provide business management support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Business Engagement and Innovation on a permanent basis.

This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home.

The post is available from 1 January 2023.

Summary of the role

This exciting and varied role will directly support the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Business Engagement and Innovation) through coordination and business management across the entire range of issues within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor’s portfolio. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) for Business Engagement and Innovation leads the development and implementation of the University’s new business engagement and innovation strategy for the University, and is responsible for championing and driving a step change in working with regional, national and international partners to create a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within our university community. 

Working closely with the Innovation, Impact and Business (IIB) team you will undertake specific projects relating to the DVC’s work and assist the DVC and the Director of IIB in the development and implementation of the University’s core strategies relating to the portfolio.  You will also have a range of managerial responsibilities within the Office of the Vice-Chancellor and Senior Executive, principally line-managing the Executive Personal Assistant to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and supporting the operation and business of the University Executive Board.
