This is an exciting opportunity to join the Planning and Analytics unit in the Strategic Planning and Governance Division, at the heart of providing strategic insight and management information at Lancaster University.

You will be delivering professional leadership and management for development of the University’s strategic management information to support the University’s planning round and strategic goals, including league table positioning. You will also lead the team responsible for the Statutory Student Returns, managing submission of the key student related submissions to HESA and OfS and maintaining oversight of other statutory returns.

The remit will involve developing a comprehensive suite of dashboards and visualisations, relevant Departmental summary reports (e.g. Compact Information packs), performance benchmarking and competitor analysis. You will also be supporting the Head of Planning and Analytics in delivering impactful data and analytics strategy, including a comprehensive evidence based analytical support for the strategic planning cycle and for other institutional processes and key decision-making processes.

This role would be ideally suited to a proactive individual with a proven experience of delivering Statutory Student Returns, managing teams successfully and significant experience working in an analytical role and delivering interactive dashboards and visualisations. Specifically, proficiency in software such as Tableau and Alteryx would be desirable. We are also looking for experience in managing a team of analysts and excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to form effective relationships with a range of colleagues as well as with external contacts.

You should contact Alicja Konstantinidis-Pereira, Head of Planning and Analytics, for any questions or informal discussions regarding the role ([email protected]).
