Harper Adams University are looking to recruit a Building Fabric Trade / Plumbing Carpentry to join the Estates Maintenance Team.

The successful candidate will be involved in:

    Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance and compliance tasks, in an efficient, cost effective and safe manner.

    Carrying out general maintenance and repairs to buildings and external areas

    Installing fixtures, fittings and equipment

    Asset management 

    Conducting meter readings and maintaining accurate records.

You should have:

    Robust approach to compliance with current regulations and legislation

    Ability to work within a team with a range of skills and experience.

    You will have full access to our tools and equipment to enable you to carry out your role;

    Self-motivated and able to use initiative in prioritising tasks.

    Enjoy a wide variety of works. 

    Be willing to partake in a callout rota.

    NVQ or equivalent in an appropriate discipline   or have substantial relevant experience and be able to work both independently and as part of a team. As this role requires the post holder to drive between university sites a full current driving licence is also essential for this role.

This position will play a proactive role within a critical response service, engaging with end users to deliver a first-class customer experience within a high-quality environment. You will be a committed, friendly team player who is keen to develop and progress.
