As the Brand Marketing Manager at the University of Wolverhampton, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the university's brand identity and reputation, collaborating with marketing, web, creative, and communications teams. You will be responsible for developing and executing campaigns that enhance our local, national, and global presence, fostering engagement

 As brand guardian you’ll ensure our visual identity guidelines are upheld and remain relevant.

About the Team

Our Marketing team, part of our Marketing, Communications and Digital Services Directorate is a diverse and supportive group of individuals who are passionate about promoting our university and attracting new potential students to university. The Marketing Team is led by our Deputy Director, Brand and Marketing who you would be directly reporting to. You will be responsible for managing our team of content creators and will work alongside the support of the Campaigns and Digital Manager, Marketing communications and Content Manager, Creative Service Manager, Designers, Faculty Marketing Officers and Copy Writers. You will have access to the support of the wider directorates team of Web Developers, Social and PR professionals, all working together to support brand development and student recruitment. 

Your Role

  • Develop and execute a strategic brand marketing strategy and plans that aligns with the university's overall marketing and brand goals

Key responsibilities:

  • Craft engaging and informative assets, including photography, video content, collateral, and marketing materials
  • Collaborate with the Creative Services Manager to develop cohesive brand guidelines and templates to ensure all university departments maintain a consistent brand identity
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including those with commercial contracts
  • Measure the reach and effectiveness of our brand and campaigns, and provide data-driven recommendations to refine our strategies
  • Manage and mentor a team of content creators
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels

Your Profile

  • Proven track record of success in brand marketing and marketing campaigns
  • Expertise in project management and experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Extensive experience working with design and creative teams to produce high-quality marketing materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage team members, workloads, and processes ensuring efficient and timely delivery of projects
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and address marketing challenges
  • A passion for storytelling and a desire to make a real difference in the lives of students

This role is promoted as 13 hours per week as it is part of a job share, but we would consider variations of when the 13 hours a week would be undertaken to suit the ideal candidate.

We would also consider term time contracts if the hours worked in term time equated to 13 hours a week 52 weeks a year, (term time equivalent would be: 17.3 hours a week for 39 weeks a year)
