The BMS Operations Supervisor acts as a source of expertise in the operation, maintenance and fault finding of numerous complex Building Management System and provides support for their team in their area of expertise. The Building Operations Supervisor also provides technical support to the electrical and mechanical teams, building surveying team and minor works / capital projects team on BMS matters.

The BMS Team sits within the University's Estates Division under Asset Management and is operated through a collaborative arrangement with an external maintenance provider under a Retention of Employment (RoE) model. The team is responsible for supporting the maintenance and operation of the University's operational estate.

Candidates should have working knowledge of the following:

  • TREND SET Tool

  • TREND IQ Vision

  • Complex HVAC installations.

Candidates should be comfortable with:

  • Taking instruction from multiple sources.

  • Managing, planning and taking ownership of small projects or issues.

  • Prioritising tasks where critical research could be impacted.

  • Collaboration with estates colleagues and contractors.

  • Communicating with University stakeholders at all levels.
