Bar Supervisors (One Elmwood)

Student and Campus Life (SCL) at Queen’s University Belfast, is currently seeking Bar Supervisors for The Union Bar and Mandela Hall. 

Located in the One Elmwood Student Centre, the Union Bar offers a comprehensive bar, food and entertainment service to students, in a state of the art development at the heart of the campus.

The Mandela Hall, also located In One Elmwood is a cutting edge multi-functional entertainment venue, hosting a range of university and public events.      

Your role will involve day to day supervision, building relationships and community with our customer base and supervising a team of bar staff.

These are full-time positions on campus.  The position involves working in an irregular shift pattern, 5 over 7 days.  An 18% shift allowance will be paid.

The successful candidates must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant academic and/or vocational qualification (eg GCSE, O Level, NVQ Level 2) plus demonstrable relevant bar supervisory experience in a customer facing environment; OR In the event you do not meet the qualification criterion, the university will consider applicants with significant relevant bar supervisory experience in a customer facing environment. (Qualifications/Experience).
  • Point of Sale (EPOS)/till systems and electronic payments experience.
