The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) of the Faculty of Science and Technology invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor with specialty in Internet of Things.

Electrical and Computer Engineering has evolved into a high technology and has transformed to many aspects in our daily life, such as power systems, telecommunication, biomedical, robotics and control systems, etc. In order to cope with the smart city development in prospective of Internet of Things in Macao and the Greater Bay Area. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, the curriculum emphasizes on the areas of Microelectronics Circuit, Internet of Things, Energy Internet, Renewable Energy and Telecommunication Infrastructure. Currently, about 37 full-time academic staff from diverse research backgrounds serve in this department, including Internet of Things, Smart Energy, Microelectronics, Biomedical Electronics and Imaging, Microelectronics and Wireless Communications. In the THE World University Ranks, the Engineering and Technology programme is ranked among the 126th – 150th.

Qualifications

The candidates must have an earned PhD Degree in related areas. Preference will be given to candidates with extensive research and teaching experience at the tertiary education level.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty in August 2022.

Remuneration

A taxable annual remuneration starting from MOP828,100 (approximately USD102,230) will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% - 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
