Assistant Technician: Education

Contract type: Open-ended

Location: Firth Court, Main Campus

You will support the School of Bioscience in its delivery of Undergraduate practical programs, working collaboratively with staff to support delivery of practical teaching.

Reporting to the Technical Specialist: Education, you will primarily support the teaching laboratories with duties such as cleaning and maintaining lab spaces and equipment, and preparation and labelling of consumables, reagents, media and other materials.

Applicants must have 5 GCSEs A*-C/ 4+ including English, Maths and Science, or a Level 3 Technical Apprenticeship along with experience of working in a laboratory. Knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices is also essential.
