AECC University College is a specialist health sciences institution, established in 1965, dedicated to providing excellent education, clinical care and applied research. Based in Bournemouth, our campus is in an attractive setting, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach. Building on its proud heritage, the University College is on an exciting journey of transformation and growth, which includes us beginning to offer courses at our new London campus from September 2024. We provide a vibrant and positive inter-professional learning and practice environment, within a caring and inclusive community.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our team in Registry to oversee and manage an efficient and effective admissions service, managing a small Admissions and Enrolment team and working closely with colleagues across the University College, including those in Marketing and our Schools, to help meet our recruitment targets.

About the person

The role oversees all our recruitment activities, including from home and overseas markets, and to award-bearing courses as well as our growing portfolio of standalone units. You will need the skills and experience to be able to confidently lead our admissions cycle and be familiar with both internal processes and those involving UCAS and other third parties. You will have experience actively pursuing the international market and working with agents to help achieve our strategic aims for growth, as well as an awareness of student visa matters.

You will bring a confident and proactive approach to managing the cycle of business, enabling you and the team to deal with multiple intake points and the onboarding and enrolment of students to our widening portfolio that encompasses degree courses, apprenticeships and single CPD units. Crucially, you will be able to provide a range of management information reporting to help inform decision making in relation to our recruitment strategy and be comfortable analysing data and presenting it in a meaningful way.

You will be highly personable and comfortable in liaising with staff at all levels, and be collegiate in approach, working with others to drive our conversion efforts and to further innovate and improve the way we do things for the benefit of staff, applicants and students alike.

Some flexibility in working hours is required to support key activities throughout the year, including occasional events held on weekends.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum & Nationality Act 2006.
