Accounts Payable Administrator

About the role
The Accounts Payable team checks and processes approximately 100,000 payment documents a year, and represents expenditure of approximately £90 million.
This is a busy and varied role whereby you will process invoices, expenses and miscellaneous payment requests accurately, ensuring documents comply with University Financial Regulations and are paid within payment terms. The role also includes handling internal enquiries regarding University Financial Regulations and payment procedures, and to provide information and advice to vendors, University staff and students regarding payments.
You will have responsibility to check and process accurately approximately 1,000 payment documents each month.
About you
As our ideal candidate, you will have a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include Mathematics and English, or relevant work experience within a busy office environment.
You will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You will have the ability to work flexibly between varied tasks, organise and prioritise own work. You will ideally have the ability to work on your own initiative and be proactive in your approach, as well as the ability to work well within a team.
