The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. We are looking for an Academic Developer to join our Centre for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT), a vibrant team of education specialists working across LSHTM to promote teaching excellence, learning innovation and student engagement.

You will work closely with colleagues in CELT on a six-month Assessment and Feedback Project. The project aims to support the enhancement of assessment and feedback practices at LSHTM through reviewing good practice internally and across the higher education sector, providing advice and support on revising and innovating assessment practices, and engaging with students to bring the student voice into the outputs of the project.

You will be the main point of contact for the project and will convene project meetings with colleagues in CELT and the wider academic and student community.

You should be educated to postgraduate level, and have Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy or equivalent professional recognition. You should be able to apply your knowledge of contemporary approaches to designing and enhancing assessment and feedback to inspire and motivate change in assessment and feedback practices. The post is full-time or part-time (0.6-1.0 FTE) and fixed-term for six months. It is available from 1 May 2024 or as close as possible. Hybrid working is available.

The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale Grade 6 in the range £43,947-£49,908 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
