Apprenticeships play a key part in the University’s 2030 strategy ‘Education without Boundaries’ and we have ambitious plans to grow our apprenticeship provision across all faculties. This is a senior role within the Directorate of Employability and Apprenticeships, where you will lead apprenticeship strategy and delivery at the University. You will be responsible for the successful leadership and growth, ensuring quality compliant apprenticeship delivery is at the forefront.   This is a new team within the Directorate, and you will need to ensure the development and smooth running of the Apprenticeship Hub.

We are looking for an individual that has: Significant experience in managing apprenticeship programmes, ideally in HE Proven leadership and team management skills, including experience of matrix management Expert knowledge and understanding of the apprenticeship funding and the regulatory environment A strong ability to develop strategic partnerships with employers Excellent communication skills and the ability to promote the apprenticeship provision with a variety of stakeholders  Recent experience of an Ofsted Inspection, ideally as nominee or shadow nominee and/or recent experience of a funding audit. Our apprenticeship delivery takes place at all 3 of our university campuses – Avery Hill, Medway and Greenwich – and we would expect the successful candidate to show presence at all campuses. There is a minimum requirement of 2 days a week working onsite.
