You are invited for a highly motivated senior postdoctoral research scientist to join the vibrant, supportive team of Professor Roslyn Bill at Aston University, working with Dr Kevin Frankowski of the University of North Carolina. This is a full-time, fixed-term position with a proposed start date of 1st February 2024 for 25 months. 

The focus of your work will be to contribute to, develop and lead research activities as part of the collaborative project between Aston University and the University of North Carolina. Working within the School of Biosciences at Aston, you will focus on designing and testing direct aquaporin-4 binders in a new approach for the treatment of stroke and CNS injuries.  

You will have completed a PhD in pharmacy, medicinal chemistry or a related field. In addition, you will already have practical experience of working with design and synthesis of aquaporin modulators.
