An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage a multi-institute Centre for training doctoral students in Negative Emission Technologies (NET) for Net Zero. Over 8 years you will co-ordinate recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, development and graduation of 80 doctoral students across 4 universities in conjunction with over 30 industrial, government and third sector partners.

You will be responsible for establishment of robust processes and procedures for the new Centre; implementing an appropriate management framework; engaging with students, staff and wider stakeholders to create, develop and deliver the NET2 Zero programme; developing and promoting the Centre; liaising with Stakeholders to ensure the programme delivers their needs and, above all, liaising with students to ensure their successful recruitment, research, training, retention, engagement and completion.

You will report to the Centre Director at Aston University (Professor Patricia Thornley) but will work with a team of 10 academics from engineering, science and other disciplines across Aston, Warwick, Nottingham and Queens University Belfast to ensure coherent, integrated delivery of the research and training programme across all partners.
