Offer Description

We are seeking passionate, dedicated, and self-motivated postdoctoral candidates with expertise in electrophysiological recording for our collaborative project on developing retinal implants to combat blindness, in partnership with Institut de la Vision Paris, Sorbonne University. The selected postdoctoral fellow will be involved in a groundbreaking ERC (European Research Council) project. Please refer to the project abstract here:

The ideal candidate needs to be proficient in conducting electrophysiological recordings using techniques such as patch-clamp and multi-electrode array recordings. Strong expertise and a track record of publications in key areas such as patch-clamp electrophysiology, multi-electrode array recordings, neuron isolation, and animal handling are essential.

About IDEALAB: Our laboratory offers a world-class facility that combines sophisticated optical, electrical, electrochemical, electrophysiological, nanomaterial synthesis, device fabrication and tissue culture infrastructure. The total value of the infrastructure approaches to 1M dollars.

Our research group focuses on the development and demonstration of novel biophotonic, nanophotonic and optoelectronic devices and interfaces for the applications to medicine (https://mysite.ku.edu.tr/snizamoglu/ ). To meet this objective we explore, engineer and exploit interesting characteristics and phenomena of nanomaterials and biomaterials, and use them in unconventional device and interface architectures. Our research integrates fundamental scientific knowledge with engineering approaches, and it spans conception, modeling, material preparation, device fabrication, characterization, and their system-level applications. Our research team has experience on the publication in top-notch journals such as ACS Nano, Advanced Functional Materials, Nano Letters, etc. Moreover, our research group has strong connections with the leading research groups in Europe, USA and Asia Pacific region.
