The chair of Financial Markets, under direction of Prof. Dr. Yvan Lengwiler in the Faculty of Business and Economics of the University of Basel, invites applications for two Research Assistant (Hilfsassistent*in) positions with a 20% appointment.



Start date: 1 August 2024, or by arrangement
End date: 31 December 2024, or by arrangement
Closing date for applications: Applications will be considered on a rolling basis until the positions are filled.


Your profile

  • Master student at the University of Basel (or a nearby university) 
  • Proficient in, or eager to learn, statistical software (Python, Matlab, Stata, or R) 
  • Familiar with basic econometrics and statistics 
  • Competent in using word processing software (e.g., Microsoft Office) 
  • Focused, persistent, and accurate in their work approach 
  • Passionate about Economics, banking, and AI research 
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively
