Job description

We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher with a background in agricultural economics. The position consists of five main tasks: i) Development of a research profile focusing on farmers' decision making in the context of sustainable agricultural practices, e.g. by analysing survey, experimental, and census data. The focus will be on Swiss and European agriculture; ii) Teaching at bachelor and master level in the field of agricultural economics; iii) Supervision of bachelor and master students; iv), Support and contribution to third party funded projects, v) Engagement in outreach activities. The starting date is flexible, but preferred starting date is January 2025.


Profile

You have a PhD (or are close to completion) in agricultural economics. You have strong analytical and communication skills and a strong methodological expertise in one or more of the following areas: econometrics, spatial econometrics, analysis of survey data, surveys, economic experiments. Fluency in written and spoken English is expected, knowledge of German and French is an advantage but not a requirement.
