The Department of Forest Resource Management conducts research and teaching within the subject areas of Forest Remote
Sensing, Forest Inventory and Sampling, Mathematical Statistics Applied to Forest Sciences, Forest Management Planning, and
Landscape Studies. The Department is responsible for several environmental monitoring and assessment programmes, including
the National Forest Inventory, National Inventory of Landscapes in Sweden, and Terrestrial Habitat Monitoring. The

About the position

The Department of Forest Resource Management are looking for a teaching assistant that will work on a project related to tree
transpiration and ecophysiology. The work will be done in collaboration with the Remote Sensing Division at The Department of Forest
Resource Management and the Department of Forest Ecology and Management . The position contains, among other things, work with
Campbell Scientific data loggers and tree sap flow measurements. The working hours are split into lab and field campaigns. The lab
campaign hours are flexible, but due to the short day hours of the winter, the field campaign hours are fixed. The lab hours will take
place at the Forest Ecology Department, and the field hours at the Svartberget Research Station.


Your profile

The position as a teaching assistant requires the candidate to currently study at a university, preferably in forestry or similar. Basic
knowledge of electronics and data acquisition is desired but not required. Importance is put to personal skills, e.g., analytical, problem
solving, independency, and collaboration. Good skills are required in written and spoken English.
