Job description
We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow in explainable artificial intelligence (XAI) with applications in health. A concrete goal is to develop and design interpretable machine learning methods to predict and classify asthma and exacerbation of asthma. The aim is to improve respiratory health by designing person-centered AI support in asthma diagnosis and management where the XAI algorithms help guide decisions and provide individualized treatment plans.
The project is a collaboration between KTH Digital Futures, Karolinska Institute, Karolinska University Hospital and Stockholm University. The position is located at the KTH Division of Information Science end Engineering under the supervision of Professor Magnus Jansson and Associate Professor Saikat Chatterjee together with colleagues from other partners.

Qualifications
Requirements
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
- Demonstrated high degree of research expertise.
- Good cooperation skills and at the same time good ability to work independently.
- You are aware of diversity and equality issues, with a particular focus on equality.
Preferred qualifications
- A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline
- Previous experience in machine learning, AI and health applications.
- Strong communication skills (both orally and in writing)
- Demonstrated pedagogical ability
Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.

About the employment
