A postdoctoral fellowship in clinical research

Fixed-term, full-time employment for a period of two years. The position can be combined with parallell clinical work, in which case the scope of employment is reduced correspondingly. The period of employment is, however, unchanged. If special grounds exist, the period of employment can be extended. The total period of employment can, however, not exceed three years.

The position is being funded by the Astrid Karlsson Foundation (91448) and the Lily and Ragnar Åkerham Foundation (91276). The position will be placed at one of the departments of the Faculty of Medicine.

Duties
Own research.

Requirements
Those qualified for appointment as a postdoctoral fellow have been awarded a Degree of Doctor or an equivalent qualification awarded by a foreign higher education institution. The degree should have been awarded no more than three years before the deadline for applications. If special grounds exist, consideration may be given to applicants who were awarded a Degree of Doctor earlier. Special grounds may be parental leave, sick leave, elected office in a trade union, leave of absence to serve in the Swedish defence forces or similar circumstances, or a clinical position or other service/assignments of relevance to the position.

The successful candidate shall not have been previously employed as a postdoctoral fellow at Uppsala University for more than one year within the same or an adjacent subject area.

Additional qualifications
Particular importance will be attached to clinical research expertise, primarily research into asthma and allergies. Personal suitability is also important.

After an initial overall assessment of competence and skills, applicants will be chosen who are deemed to have the best conditions for performing and developing the duties in question and contributing to the development of the organisation.

About the employment
The employment is a temporary position of two years according to central collective agreement. Full time position. Starting date 2025-01-01 or as agreed, within six months. Placement: Uppsala.
