Offer Description

THE BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF MÁLAGA NEEDS TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL WITH THE FOLLOWING PROFILE: Technician.

Responsible Investigator: Cristina Maldonado Araque and María Soledad Ruiz de Adana.

Venue: Regional University Hospital of Malaga. Endocrinology and Nutrition Service. Diabetes Unit.

Project/line:

• PI23/00984  (Precision medicine in monogenic diabetes: genomic strategies, clinical-genetic characterization and associated costs).
• CIBER intramural project  (Metabolic fatty liver disease in people with Type 1 Diabetes in Spain. Prevalence, physiological determinants, and clinical relevance).

Functions to be developed :

• Patient recruitment 250 people with type 1 diabetes and 100 with monogenic diabetes.
• Control and scheduling of patient appointments.
• RedCaps data manager.
• Collection of quality of life + psychological symptoms + Proms and Prems.
• Database maintenance and exploitation.
• Collaboration in data analysis, interpretation of data, communication of results.

Minimum requirements :

• Graduated in Psychology.

Valuable Requirements :

• Accredited work experience in caring for people with type 1 diabetes (1 point up to a maximum of 2 (points) will be valued for each year of experience. It will be accredited by means of a certificate from the competent body or responsible declaration. 
• Training: University Expert and/or Master's Degree in Health Psychology (1 point per degree up to a maximum of 1 point).
• English level B2 (1 point) will be accredited by certificate from the competent body.

• Previous experience collaborating on research projects in the area of ​​diabetes. (1 point will be valued for each year of experience up to a maximum of 1 (point). It will be accredited by certificate from the competent body or responsible declaration. 
• Previous experience in contact with people with chronic processes. (1 point will be valued for each year of experience up to a maximum of 1 point). It will be accredited by certificate from the competent body or responsible declaration. 
• Previous experience in database management and exploitation. SPSS management. (1 point will be valued for each year of experience up to a maximum of 2 (points). It will be accredited by means of a certificate from the competent body or responsible declaration. 

Contract details :

• Contracting modality: Contract for scientific-technical activities. (art. 23 bis of the Science and Technology Law Law 14/2011).

• Gross annual remuneration: €10,000
• Hours: 17.5 hours per week (50%)

Selection process :

After a review period in which the candidates whose resume best adapts to the established criteria will be selected, a second phase will be launched consisting of a personal interview.

Based on the criteria obtained in the merit assessment, at least the three best candidates will be selected to carry out a personal interview in which communication skills, aptitude for work and skills will be assessed, with a maximum of 3 points. Only those candidates who obtain at least 50% of the evaluable merit points will be eligible for the interview phase.

After the resolution of the position and in the event that the selected candidate resigns from the contract, the hiring table may decide to decide in favor of the next candidate according to the list of scores.
