HORIZON-CL6-2023-BIODIV-01 and funded by European Research Executive Agency (REA) under the powers delegated by the European Commission.
Our project's overall aim is to contribute to stepping up EU science policy support to biodiversity and climate policy at the EU level and beyond, addressing the interconnections between biodiversity and climate policies. We will analyze the underlying gaps and barriers to knowledge uptake and develop capacities to address them. This will improve the contribution and uptake of knowledge to inform synergistic biodiversity and climate decisions, thereby enhancing the global leadership of the EU in IPCC and IPBES processes and supporting different EU countries, associated countries and targeted countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. RESPIN’s strategic objectives are:
1. Provide recommendations for how to improve the uptake of IPBES and IPCC results in sectoral decision making at the EU, national and subnational level, as well as in the private sector.
2. Develop innovative processes for improving the complementarity research needs in policy and other decision making, as well as the centralized provision and EU support.
3. Raise awareness of IPBES and IPCC knowledge generation.
4. Strengthen and scale up IPBES policy support and capacity functions.
A full-time contract is offered (37.5h per week), in a embrace hybrid work environment and likely to start at the end of March 2024 or soon thereafter and will last for 48 months. The salary offered is between €2,604.81 and €2,850.54 gross per month, depending on the candidate’s experience.
