Offer Description

The Research Group in Economics and Finance at ESADE Business School (GREF) is seeking to hire a Research Assistant for data treatment in its research project on financial derivatives and structured products. 

While the GREF members conduct empirical research in many fields of finance and economics, covering a wide range of areas from macroeconomics to mathematical finance, this call is mainly focused on financial derivatives, asset pricing, risk management and machine learning. GREF brings together faculty from the departments of Economics and Finance, graduate students and a diverse network of collaborators, with the aim to facilitate the creation and diffusion of high-quality research within ESADE, the academic community and the society at large.  

The Research Assistant responsibilities :

  • Scraping, managing and analyzing large datasets.
  • Capability to replicate financial papers.

Profile :

  • Statistical and programming capabilities (Matlab, and/or Python, R, Stata) are required.
  • Excellent management and organizational skills along with strong quantitative skills
  • Flexible, self-motivating, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a team player.
  • Fluency in English.
