Offer Description

The selected person will join the Oxidative Stress Biochemistry group, within the research line "Nutrition,
Metabolism and Cellular Stress" and will carry out the following tasks aimed at the characterisation of
several mutants of the frataxin protein:
- Expression in bacteria of the various variants studied.
- Purification and characterisation by biochemical techniques.

The selected person will join the Oxidative Stress Biochemistry group, for the research project with code
PR00045 , funded by the FARA "Friedereich's Ataxis Research Alliance".

-Years of postdoctoral experience
-Years of international postdoctoral experienceExperience in use and manipulation of the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae (higher eukaryotes)
-Experience in cell culture
-Experience in iron metabolism and oxidative stress
-Experience in molecular biology techniques
-Postdoctoral experience, especially that carried out in international centers

Benefits

Type of contract: Indefinite for technical scientific activities, in accordance with the provisions of Article 23 of Law 17/2022, of 5 September, which amends Law 14/2011, of 1 June, on Science, Technology and Innovation.
The contractual modality is that of indefinite duration, with specific clauses linked to the financing of the project in accordance with art. 49 1.b) and art. and 52.e). of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2015, of 23 October, approving the revised text of the Law on the Statute of Workers.

Working hours: Full 37.5 hours per week
-Remuneration: 25.750€ gross/yearly NOT including employer's social security contributions.
-Activity funding: PR00045 funded by FARA "Friedereich's Ataxis Research Alliance".
-Duration of the contract: The project work programme foresees staff costs until 30 June 2024.
If there are changes in the work programme and/or budget of the project, the possibility to modify the period will be assessed (the duration of the contract is linked to the specific funding of the project/convention).
