Offer Description

The applicant will be in charge of constituting the chert geological reference collection of the project, which will involve fieldwork seasons. Moreover, the applicant will be in charge of developing spectroscopic analysis using VNIR spectroscopy on archaeological chert collections and geological reference collections.

The ideal applicant will have a MSc and a PhD on Quaternary or Geoarchaeology with at least one previous postdoctoral position linked to the characterization of prehistoric lithic raw materials. The ideal applicant will have expertise in the use of multiscalar approaches to the analysis of lithics and proved expertise on the use of R, Phyton and QGIS.

Applicants must have excellent English level, proved with at least a C1 certificate.

Gross salary per year: 45.000 €.

Selection process

Minimum score to pass the selection process: 70/100 points.


Additional comments

Duration of the contract of employment: 12 months, renewable up to 30/09/2028.

The candidate proposed for hiring must accept the job offer within 5 working days from the date of notification of the selection.
