Offer Description

Applications are invited for a 2-year position as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Biomedical Research Centre (CINBIO), University of Vigo, Spain. The research project focuses on the development of E. coli whole cell and cell-free biosensors based on Raman reporters. Project: Ayudas para Incentivar la Consolidación Investigadora 2023. Agencia Estatal de Investigación. CNS2023-145718. PI: Gustavo Bodelón González (Scopus Author ID: 6506050773). 

Expected start date: May 2024

Research activities will take place in the Functional Nano Biomaterials group led by Isabel Pastoriza Santos in collaboration with Gustavo Bodelón, with expertise in nanotechnology and molecular biology, respectively. Skills/Qualifications

 

  • Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biology, or Biotechnology.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English are expected.

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled candidate able to work independently and as a team in a highly multidisciplinary research environment.


Specific Requirements

 

Plasmid engineering, cell-free gene expression, western blotting, HPLC, and affinity chromatography. Also, the selected candidate will perform research activities involving Raman spectroscopy. Statistical analyses, processing, and data presentation.
