Offer Description

The Department of Sociology of the University of Barcelona is looking for a a two-year Postdoctoral researcher starting in September 2024. Objective and functions:
•Research in one of the areas of research groups linked to theDepartment of Sociology.
•60 annual teaching hours.
•Collaborate and participate in activities organized within thedepartment and research group.
Postdoctoral positions may transition to an Assistant Professorship contingent upon a favorable evaluation and the availability of positions.

Selection process

Selection criteria and weighting on a scale of 100:
• CV Adequacy (maximum 40).
o Previous education in sociology and related areas (maximum 10)
o Internationalization trajectory: training, international stays, and congresses are valued (maximum 10)
o Teaching experience: teaching in undergraduate and master's programs, teaching in English, supervision of projects, and mentoring (maximum 20)
• Research Profile (maximum 40).
o Publications in indexed journals and prestigious publishers (maximum 20)
o Number of citations (maximum 5)
o Participation and leadership in competitive research projects (maximum 10)
o Collaborations in research groups and/or research networks (maximum 5)
• Presentation Video (maximum 20).


Additional comments

Priority will be given to people with disabilities (Law 89/2015 of June 2, reserve of quota 2% in favour of people with disabilities in companies of 50 or more people).
