On 20 of february of 2024, the University of Huelva issues the following resolution for the recruitment of a University graduate with Doctoral Degree commissioned by the project: "Elaboration of a climatology of tornadoes in Spain and estimation of their probability of exceedance in the environment of nuclear facilities and the fuel cycle (CLIMATOR).

Amount: 1.854,18€ gross, monthly
Duties and responsabilities:
- Management of databases with atmospheric data related to tornados or similar events.
- Analysis of relevant parameters and interpretation of results.
- Calculation of excedence probability of tornados.
- Design of maps that display relevant information.
- Comunication of results to a non-expert audience.
Eligibility criteria
Preferred merits:
- Experience in Python programming.
- Experience in georeferenced data analysis.
- Experience using global reanalysis data or satellite data.
(ERA5, CAMS, TROPOMI, MERRA, etc.)
- Experience with mesoscale simulation models (WRF or similar)
- Experience with dispersion simulation models (FLEXPART, FLEXPART-WRF, HYSPLIT or similar)
- Experience in the use of radon gas as a tracer of atmospheric variables and air masses
- Experience with non-classical statistical analysis (fuzzy logic, bayesian probability, etc.)
- English level C1
