POSITION DESCRIPTION:

CIC energiGUNE is looking for a Laboratory Technician to work in the General Analysis Characterization Unit.

Job functions:

  • Sample preparation for different analytical techniques, ensuring all safety guidelines are strictly followed and ensuring process traceability, always maintaining a clean and tidy environment.
  • Development and implementation of new analysis methodologies ensuring quality parameters, ensuring the good condition of the equipment.
  • Perform routine and non-routine tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments. Perform calibrations in the techniques that require it.
  • Ensure compliance with analysis and report deadlines.
  • Ensure all the material necessary for fluent work in the different analysis techniques, promoting improvements at laboratory level.

Skills/Qualifications
  • Ability to identify and solve technical problems.
  • Proactive and committed attitude with high level of initiative, proactivity, and willingness to learn.
  • A good team player who can collaborate with other team members.

Specific Requirements
  • Bachelor’s in chemistry, chemical engineering or occupational training in Laboratory Techniques, Quality Control or related fields.
  • 2-3 years of experience in different analytical techniques, preferably in:
      • Gas Chromatography (GC/MS, GC FID/BID)
      • Inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy (ICP/OES)
      • Karl Fischer Analysis and other potentiometric, coulometric and volumetric titrations
      • Helium Picnometer
      • Particle size análisis by laser diffraction
    • The following will be positively assessed:
      • CHSNO Elemental Analysis
      • Physical adsorption of gas (BET)
      • Mercury Porosimeter
      • Rheometer
  • Good verbal skills in English.
