Predoctoral Researcher – Pancreas Regeneration

About the research group

The Pancreas Regeneration team is part of the Regenbell Program at IDIBELL and the Department of Physiological Science at University of Barcelona-Campus Bellvitge. Our team is dedicated to various projects centered around pancreas biology, pancreas regeneration, and pancreatic cancer, with a particular emphasis on pancreatic ductal cells.

 

 

About the role

The successful candidate will join an international research team dedicated to studying pancreas regeneration and pancreatic cancer. They will particpate in a recently funded project aimed to investigating the cell of origin of pancreatic cancer.

 

 

Job requirements

Professional experience

Experience in biomedical research during the completion of the TFG and TFM (Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis projects)

Education and training

BSc in Biology, Biomedicine, or related fields

MSc in Genetics, Regenerative Medicine, or related fields 

Technical & soft skills

Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, qPCR, flow cytometry, and immunostaining

Initiative, strong capacity for planning and organizing work schedules, and a willingness to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary team

Analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate and interpret complex data

Excellent communication skills and high motivation to accomplish project objectives

Languages

Good command of the English language

 

We will value, but not required

Hands-on experience in cell culture techniques, including work with cell lines and/or organoids
Up-to-date animal license certificate
BSc with a grade over 7,5

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV).
