About the research group

Stem Cell Potency

IDIBELL Research Grants Department provides support to researchers throughout the lifecycle of competitive research projects to contribute to the leadership of IDIBELL in biomedical research.

Post-Award is in charge of supporting researcher in the management of awarded competitive grants from a large variety of funding bodies, including Instituto de Salud Carlos III (ISCIII), Ministerio de Ciencia, Fundació La Marató de TV3, European Commission and National Institutes of Health (NIH).

About the role

The main duties for this position are the following:

  • Support on the proposal submission
  • Ensuring the correct economic execution of projects, according to the applicable funding body regulations
  • Budget planning at group level, considering all funded projects
  • Managing any changes that may arise during the execution of grants: financial, duration, team members, centre or methodology
  • Preparing economic reports and ensuring scientific reports are submitted on time
  • Preparing all documentation for the external audits of grants
  • Monitoring and updating the regulations applicable to grants
  • Contact with funding bodies and project coordinators
  • Support on the liaising between PIs and other IDIBELL support areas, assuring compliance with internal procedures and regulations

Job requirements

Professional experience


  • Experience in financial management of competitive projects

Education and training


  •  Training in finances, administration or similar (CFGS) 

Technical & soft skills


  • Good numerical skills

  • Team player with good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills

  • Well-organised person with very good attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines

  • Advanced user of MS Office (MS Word, Excel and Power Point)

Languages


  • Good command of the English language

  • Fluent in Spanish

  • A good knowledge of Catalan is highly desirable

Our institute

IDIBELL is a research center that integrates the biomedical research of the Bellvitge University Hospital (HUB), the Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO), and the University of Barcelona in the Bellvitge Campus (UB), and the Viladecans Hospital (HV). The research focuses of IDIBELL are cancer, neuroscience, translational medicine and regenerative medicine. Research, innovation and society are the pivots on which researchers work every day in order to improve the quality of life of citizens.
