Offer Description

The UP FTŠ Tourism project office takes care of the administrative management and coordination of projects in which it participates as a partner or they are carried out by UP FTŠ Turistica.

In each project, there is a central point between higher education teachers and researchers who implement the content of the projects, students and other users, project partners, accounting, HR and the secretariat.

The University of Primorska carries out research and development projects that are financed from various sources (Horizon 2020 (soon Horizon Europe), Erasmus+ (mobilities, Jean Monnet, strategic partnerships, others), ERDF, ESS, Interreg projects, ARRS, funds from ministries and others agencies, funds from private donors).

The employment relationship will be concluded for a period of one year with a three-month trial period, with the possibility of extension, with full-time work of 40 hours per week.

Skills/Qualifications

General description of works and tasks:

  • research work (desk search) on the sustainable impacts of the hotel industry
  • conducting an online survey on sustainable practices in the hotel industry
  • conducting interviews on sustainable practices in the hotel industry
  • creation of reports on the state of sustainable development of the hotel industry
  • participation in a project consortium
  • preparation of work reports and reporting to the consortium
  • other similar works as directed by the project manager.

Specific Requirements

Desired knowledge and skills

  • excellent knowledge of English and Slovenian, both written and communication skills in both languages, knowledge of professional terminology in the field of projects,
  • experience with project management, financial management and other administrative tasks on projects,
  • knowledge of the financial and administrative rules of European and Slovenian programs or Slovenian accounting and administrative rules and readiness to learn them,
  • ability to make decisions and meet deadlines,
  • advanced use of the MS package (excel) and the ability to quickly adapt to information solutions.

Due to the specificity of the project, knowledge of the field of sustainable tourism is desirable, with an emphasis on sustainability in connection with tourism and hospitality.
