Offer Description

The Faculty of Economics and Finance:

• full time position at the Department of Social Development and Labour with the specialization:

(a) in the creative (scientific research) area on labour market, migration and public policy issues

(b) in the pedagogical area on labour market economics.

In addition to the above, the following are required: an active knowledge of the English language, a documented record of significant publication in respected academic journals abroad, documented experience of working in international research teams and the ability to prepare international projects and research grant applications with a higher impact.

Qualifications and other requirements for the position of researcher:  Higher education in a relevant field of study, research and teaching experience, active knowledge of at least one world language, documentation of research activities and publication results, experience in the preparation and implementation of domestic and international research projects, domestic and international scientific contacts, participation in the solution of scientific research projects, active participation in scientific conferences and communication skills.

• an overview of publication and scientific research activities (for the last 5 years with the identification of the three most significant publication outputs) and an overview of the reviews of the scientific work, separately also an extract of previous publication activities from the WOS and SCOPUS databases for the last 10 years,
• a personal research plan for the next 5 years,
• officially certified documents of education, academic degrees, scientific degrees and scientific ranks; if the documents are issued in a country other than the Slovak Republic, they must be officially translated into Slovak and then officially certified,
• a summary of employment history and previous experience,
• an affidavit of other employment relationships with higher education institutions located or operating in the territory of the Slovak Republic as well as abroad, concluded for the performance of the work of a university teacher or researcher, with an indication of the weekly working time for the purposes of proving the fact pursuant to Section 74 (5) of the Higher Education Act,
• an affidavit of integrity;

Salary conditions: in accordance with Act No 553/2003 Coll. on the remuneration of certain employees in the work of public interest and on amending and supplementing certain acts, as amended, and in accordance with Annex 6 to Government Regulation No 296/2022 Coll. and depending on the number of years of credited experience.

Form of selection procedure: oral interview
