The Division of Physics and Applied Physics (PAP) at NTU invites applications for positions at the rank of Visiting Professor in Physics. We are looking for candidates holding a Ph.D. degree in physics or a closely related area.

The Visiting Professor will collaborate with PAP colleagues to work in the area of integrated on-chip planar coherent light sources, including the fabrication and characterization of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) and associated lasers. He/she will get involved with collaborated research in the programme level (NRF-CRP) with PAP colleagues, as well as explore collaborations with colleagues from other Schools within NTU.

The candidate should have at least 15 years of experience in cutting edge nano-materials such as graphene and TMDCs, plus proficiency techniques to fabricate samples in a glovebox and vacuum chamber. He/she should be also able to fabricate photonic devices using electron-beam lithography and focus ion beam. He/she should have demonstrated an ability to obtain external grants, plus regularly publish in top-tier journals such as the Nature and Science family of journals.
